Some people are born to dream. Others are meant to live theirs. After graduating from the Art Institute of Dallas, Amy Knollmeyer began her journey in commercial photography, with her work being featured in Forbes and The Met. During this time, she sought a more intimate and personal avenue for her talent, discovering that it would lead to an interest in portraiture, senior, and children photography.
From the basement of her home in 2002, Amy continued her ambition; first in film format, then evolving into the digital realm. Each image Amy creates is meticulously hand crafted and edited–emphasizing on capturing the right moment, with an attention to detail.
Within three years, her business blossomed: plans for a new studio were conceived, and the blueprint to expand continued with the purchase of the old Nelson Vincent property on East McCarty Street in Jefferson City, MO. With over 3000 square feet of creative and artistic space, the studio provides all of her clients with an abundance of natural light, and a warm, inviting atmosphere.
As Amy’s studio grew, so did her compassion for giving back to the community. Her involvement has included her MADD mad fashion show benefiting Mothers Against Drunk Driving, Girls Night Out for the Samaritan Center, Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, Transitions Foster Program, and the Heart & Soul Calendar for The Special Learning Center.
Amy and her husband Tom are proud parents of their two daughters Clara and Chloe and happily reside in Jefferson City, MO.
